The dental implant surgery takes place only after all the necessary exams and test results have been carried out and the entire procedure has been fully discussed with the patient.
ANAESTHESIA
Implanting one or several implants in a well-developed bone tissue is a minimally invasive procedure where only a local anaesthesia or a mandibular block (STA system) is required and both of which will allow the patient’s to function normally straight after the treatment. To administer anaesthesia, UNIDENT UNION Dental Spa uses a painless, computer-controlled WAND system.
THE WAND is a device for applying local, dental anaesthesia ensuring unique comfort to patients. It eliminates stress associated with dentist’s appointments. With the Wand, any kind of local anaesthesia used in dentistry can be administered. The use of the sterile, single-use disposable Wand handpiece, minimises the risk of cross contamination or infection both for both the patient and the dentist.
UNIDENT UNION Dental Spa also offers anaesthesia in the form of relaxing gas (sleepless sedation) and, in exceptional cases, under general anaesthesia.
SURGERY
Implant surgeries are performed in fully-sterile and aseptic conditions. The implantation consists of preparing an implant site and inserting the implant. The implant hole is prepared with calibrated precision drills which are part of every dental implant system. After the osteotomy – or the implant hole - has been performed, carefully managed force is applied to screw the implant into place, enabling implant stability without overheating or overloading the bone tissue. The procedure takes about 20 minutes. Patients do not feel any unpleasant sensation, either during or after the surgery.
